The challenge
THE ICONIC is one of Australia’s largest fashion retailers, offering over 1,500 leading brands across fashion, sports, children’s clothing, cosmetics, and homewares. While their digital presence was strong, THE ICONIC wanted to increase brand awareness and acquire new customers through a cost-effective offline marketing approach. The challenge was to reach the right audience in high-density, relevant areas while ensuring measurable results.
The goals were to:
- Boost brand visibility in key urban areas across Australia and New Zealand
- Drive measurable new customer acquisition
- Support digital efforts with flyering and direct mail campaigns
Our solution
H2H campaign
Flyers were distributed in high-footfall zones and residential neighborhoods, ensuring maximum relevance and reach.
By combining targeted placement with on-brand creative, THE ICONIC’s message reached potential customers directly in their daily environments to build trust & awareness.
D2D campaign
THE ICONIC used direct mail to target both new households and lapsed customers. This method ensured the brand reached people where they make decisions: at home.
Direct mail allowed THE ICONIC to not only attract new customers but also reactivate existing ones, by sending personalized offers based on past purchases.
The result
Between 2017 and 2021, Oppizi completed 12 campaigns for THE ICONIC (7 in Australia and 5 in New Zealand), distributing a total of 5.7 million flyers and generating 76,839 new customers.
This sustained offline presence significantly boosted brand awareness and reinforced digital marketing efforts, proving that strategic offline campaigns can drive measurable customer acquisition.
